What Is Love?!

What is LOVE?

So many of us know the answer, and yet we still ask this question as if we’ve never experienced love before, or aren’t experiencing it currently. Well, the Bible says…

heart4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” ~1 Corinthians 13:4-8

…And this is how you know love is present.

Are you IN love?

Being in love requires you to be committed to the qualifications of love {see above} with the person you find yourself consistently attracted to over time. Well, that’s ME in love anyway! 🙂

Would you like to spread some real love? Here’s a breakdown of the Bible’s definition- the true definition of real love.

·         Practice patience in every situation.

·         Be gentle with your words whenever you speak or think, despite how you’re feeling.

·         Be happy for and celebrate others.

·         Share your accomplishments and success with others so that it encourages them to want the same.

·         Always know that you can learn from someone regardless of their status.

·         Speak highly of everyone and anyone.

·         Fill others up as much as you do yourself.

·         Practice being calm during trialing and frustrating circumstances. heart

·         Completely focus on moving forward into greatness with confidence, despite past or present events.

·         Absolutely do all things the right way; the honest way; a way where no one gets hurt or becomes saddened, or feels left behind,    cheated or manipulated; celebrate what is right and delightful to all.

·         Help keep yourself and others from potential harm, danger and uneasiness.

·         Always allow yourself to show faith in yourself and others.

·         Always be optimistic; be positive about something amazing happening, even through uncomfortable situations; even when you cannot see the present blessing, and the one coming right after it!

·         Be an example of believing, knowing and acting as though you will overcome all hurdles, and watch it happen!

heartWhat a job it is to love! It’s so easy to do wrong! But with love, all things come together; there’s growth, happiness, endurance, togetherness and much to celebrate- and I LOVE a good celebration, often.

Now is the time to show some love, give some love, spread some love, encourage love, protect love, hope for love, love on love, live in love, sing, dance and laugh in love!

Be love.

Ps. It’s all Love.
